RESSENCE is known for orbital displays without traditional hands. For this collaboration, the brand worked with Belgian artist Jules Wittock to bring his signature freehand labyrinths onto the TYPE 9, creating an interplay between reading time and art.

Wittock draws without rulers; the seemingly casual lines follow strict geometry, each maze has a single entrance and exit, and the path can spell hidden words. RESSENCE milled the pattern directly into a grade-5 titanium domed dial, with grooves just 0.2mm wide, then had craftsmen fill them with white paint and Super-LumiNova.

The TYPE 9 uses the patented ROCS 9 module, whose convex coaxial eccentric orbital system keeps the display discs turning. The labyrinth therefore shifts constantly and only aligns completely at noon and midnight, when the hidden message appears — a nod to Wittock's childhood habit of making wishes at symmetrical times.

The two versions have distinct characters: the T9 JWE uses an ALD-treated titanium dial whose green base flashes purple depending on the light, with white labyrinth lines and a white leather strap; the T9 JWB pairs a black DLC/PVD case with white lines and a black strap for sharper contrast. Both are limited editions.
