Founded in 2001 by Richard Mille, the brand arrived with the RM 001 tourbillon and a clear intent to rethink the architecture of a fine watch. Tonneau-shaped cases, visible movements and technical materials such as titanium, carbon composites and sapphire are used not as gestures but as parts of a single engineering argument.
Design priorities include lightness, shock resistance and a highly three-dimensional construction, giving each watch a technical presence that feels closely related to motorsport. Limited production reinforces the sense of focused, contemporary engineering, while the open, architectural movement treatment makes the mechanics a central part of the design. The result is a watchmaking language shaped by performance, precision and a deliberately modern view of haute horlogerie. Each element is engineered to contribute.
