The 2019 GA-2100 turned an octagonal bezel and accessible pricing into a hit, earning the nickname "CasiOak". Now another series is generating buzz before its launch: the G-SHOCK 2500, dubbed "CasioNaut" online.

The discussion began when Casio's Japanese site briefly listed GAC-2500 and GMC-2500 pages. They were taken down quickly, but screenshots spread. The leaked images show a rounded octagonal outline with prominent crown guards on both sides, reminiscent of Gérald Genta's 1976 Nautilus.
G-SHOCK then posted "New G-SHOCK coming soon…" on social media, confirming that a launch is being warmed up. The leaked model appears to lean more toward an analogue layout, with full hands, a three-window date display and a subdial at 9 o'clock, unlike the dual-display GA-2100.
If the first wave includes both resin and steel-bracelet versions, it could appeal both to buyers who want lightweight durability and to those who prefer a metal sports-watch feel. Names, specifications and release dates are still to be announced.
