Bell & Ross has carried its instrument-watch thinking from cockpits into space. Following 2025's BR-03 Astro, the 2026 BR-03 Space Mission condenses interstellar exploration into the brand's signature square case, replacing conventional hands with Earth, the Moon and a spacecraft.

The case is 41mm micro-blasted black ceramic, sharply drawn and water-resistant to 100m. The dial is aventurine glass, its inclusions glittering like deep-space dust under light, contrasting with the matte ceramic and preserving the BR-03 instrument look.

The reading system is unusual: a transparent rotating disc at the centre carries Earth and the Moon, completing one turn every 12 hours so the Moon's position indicates the hour. Minutes are shown by a miniature Vortex spacecraft whose nose travels along the minute track. Its shape is inspired by Dassault Aviation's reusable orbital vehicle concept.

The solid ceramic caseback houses the BR-CAL.325 automatic, beating at 28,800 vph with about 54 hours of power reserve. It takes a little adjustment for anyone used to hands, but turning aerospace hardware into a timekeeping mechanism is exactly the point.
