Hublot

Hublot was founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco in Nyon, Switzerland. Its name refers to a ship’s porthole, a form that suggests transparency, structure and a view into the movement. The first Hublot watch paired a natural rubber strap with a gold case, an early statement of the brand’s interest in unexpected material combinations.

The Big Bang arrived in 2005 and became a defining collection, joined by Classic Fusion, Spirit of Big Bang and King Power. Hublot’s design language is built around the concept of material fusion, using ceramic, sapphire and composite materials alongside more familiar watchmaking elements. This approach gives the watches a contemporary, architectural presence while keeping the case, dial and strap in deliberate conversation. The result is a recognisable silhouette with a distinctly modern character.
